How to Succeed at Anything, Including Weight Loss
I recently lost 25 pounds in six months. I did it largely with information that you can find in a book called Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle . This book was written by a champion body builder who has an attitude for success that I hope to model one day.
Though the book definitely gets straight to the point of showing how to lose weight, he also shows you how to get on target and stay on target until you reach and then exceed your goals. Just reading his book tells you this winning attitude is how he has accomplished everything: best-selling author, champion body-builder and successful gym owner.
Because I greatly admire people who have reached for and attained their goals, I sought to learn as much as I could about Venuto’s winning attitude. Here is what I got from this great book and how I think it can help you.
- 1) Make Goals, not Wishes
As the book begins, Venuto talks about goals. Commitment is key here and you can see the emphasis that he places on it as he talks about turning dreams into goals.
The entire first chapter is dedicated to showing you a new way of getting the things you want that actually works. It will get your head into a new place, one of success, not failure.
Write them down, he urges and review them daily.
- 2) Feedback: Change the Way you Look at Failure
We all dream of instant success but how often do we experience it?
The truth is that even the most successful of people have a string of failures in their background and all they did that was different to most is stick with it.
Venuto’s chapter on measuring body fat will give a whole new way to approach those disappointing moments when you don’t quite lose as much as you want to.
These moments, as brief as they are, actually define your success more than the positive ones, because these are the moments in which most of us struggle with quitting.
Learn a new approach and you will get a different result this time.
- 3) Education, Stop Fumbling in the Dark
When reading Burn the fat, Feed the Muscle, you get the sense that Venuto really wants to impart useful, accurate and true information.
He doesn’t want to set you up for the back end sale, he doesn’t want to spoon feed you into a monthly deal, he just wants to give you the power of knowledge which could make all the difference in your weight loss efforts.
At the back of the book, he eludes to the statistics that says that 80% of people who buy any kind of self-help book never actually read it.
If you buck that statistic, read this book all the way through and then go one step further to actually implement it, you will be astonished at the difference in your life,
Not only does this book help you with weight loss issues, it will help you with many other life issues that have caused you to struggle to date.
If you let it, Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, could reshape your mindset, which could reshape your life.
